In August 2017, BPAT leader Dr Chris Lambrides, visited IITA in Ibadan, Nigeria, to organise BPATs of the cassava, yam, soybean, cowpea, maize and plantain (banana) breeding programs.
In May 2017, the BPAT team of assessors travelled to IITA (International Institute for Tropical Agricultrue) and NARO (National Agricultural Research Organisation) to review 3 banana breeding programs.
